Cruise

The Arabian Sea on the west, the Indian Ocean on the south and the Bay of Bengal on the east embracing the Indian peninsula on three sides and a plethora of rivers crisscrossing the topography of this exotic country- India has always represented fertility and a moist gentle supple ambience that speaks of hospitality and warmth. With so much of water everywhere and with the increasing awareness and promotion of tourism, cruise facilities in India have increased manifold enabling you to take a look at water-wordly-wise nooks and corners of this ancient country.

Ocean Cruise
The heady cocktail of sun, sand and surf has always knocked tourists off. And the forlorn beaches of India specially those at Kerala and Goa offer unforeseen opportunities with their wide variety of cruises. Evening luxury cruises, complete with dinner and music, overnight cruises, daylong cruises, etc. are all available. The other two destinations in India that offer amazing cruises are Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands

River Cruise .

The rivers in India are abundant in their bounty. The Brahmaputra River, with its vast expanse offers wonderful feast for the eyes with a view of the verdant paddy fields and quaint villages lining its banks. The Hooghly River on the other hand, traces colonial history along its course. Remnants of French, Dutch and English colonialism can still be seen in the old magnificent buildings, jute mills (now mostly closed), and churches.

Wildlife Cruise
The wildlife pockets in India are mostly concentrated around some sort of a waterbody. The mangrove forests of Sunderbans- the den of the jungle don the Royal Bengal Tiger are interspersed with narrow canals infested with the notorious long snouted crocodiles. These canals offer extremely adventurous cruise in country boats and motorboats. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala also offers to take you on a mind-numbing cruise on the Periyar Lake giving you glimpses of wild animals while they gather at dusk by the waterside.

Backwater Cruise
The emerald palm fringed backwaters of Kerala are where time has stopped long ago, never bothering to move forward. Overnight and daylong cruise on traditional houseboats on the Kerala Backwaters are one of those few things a tourist must taste before he calls it a day.

Dal Lake Cruise
A traditionally decked up shikara adorned with velvet cushions and tapestry on the shimmering waters of the Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir with a view of the snowcapped peaks having a redezvous with the crystal sky, is more of an out of the world experience- one that has to be seen in order to be believed.
